SEAProTI to Host the 5th International Translators and Interpreters Summit, Exploring the Future of Subtitling and Dubbing in the Age of AI
The Southeast Asian Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters (SEAProTI) is set to organize the 5th SEAProTI International Translators and Interpreters Summit 2026 on 31 May 2026 at The Palazzo Hotel Bangkok, conveniently located near MRT Huai Khwang Station. The event aims to promote professional development among translators and interpreters while providing a platform for knowledge sharing and networking among language professionals, media practitioners, academics, and technology experts from various fields.
One of the highlights of the summit will be a panel discussion titled “The Past, Present, and Future of Subtitling and Dubbing in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Opportunities and Challenges in Thailand’s Audiovisual Media Industry.” Scheduled from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., the session will examine the evolution of audiovisual translation and dubbing, as well as the growing impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on content creation, localization, and media distribution in both Thailand and the international marketplace.
The panel will feature distinguished professionals with extensive experience in the field. Speakers include Patchayapat Aramangpatkul, Honorary Advisor to the Qualification Review and Dubbing Script Evaluation Committee of Thai PBS; Somalee Sawanatham, former actress and current voice artist with the Thai PBS dubbing team; and Ekkapop Phaowong, a streaming-platform subtitle translator, founder of the popular page “Khub Rot La,” and President of the Thai Streaming Subtitle Translators Club under the supervision of SEAProTI.
Participants will gain valuable insights from industry practitioners regarding the development of subtitling and dubbing professions, the integration of AI technologies into media production workflows, and the implications for translation quality, professional standards, and emerging opportunities within Thailand’s audiovisual sector.
The SEAProTI International Translators and Interpreters Summit has become a significant forum that brings together translators, interpreters, academics, language-service professionals, and industry leaders to advance professional standards and foster collaboration at both national and international levels. SEAProTI จัดประชุมผู้นำนักแปลและล่ามนานาชาติ ครั้งที่ 5 เปิดเวทีถกอนาคตงานแปลซับและพากย์ไทยในยุค AI
สมาคมวิชาชีพนักแปลและล่ามแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ (SEAProTI) เตรียมจัดการประชุมผู้นำนักแปลและล่ามนานาชาติ SEAProTI ครั้งที่ 5 ประจำปี 2569 ในวันที่ 31 พฤษภาคม 2569 ณ โรงแรมเดอะ พาลาสโซ กรุงเทพฯ ใกล้สถานีรถไฟฟ้า MRT ห้วยขวาง โดยมีเป้าหมายเพื่อส่งเสริมการพัฒนาวิชาชีพนักแปลและล่าม ตลอดจนสร้างเวทีแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้และประสบการณ์ระหว่างผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านภาษา สื่อ และเทคโนโลยีจากหลากหลายสาขา
หนึ่งในกิจกรรมสำคัญของการประชุมครั้งนี้คือการเสวนา (Panel Discussion) หัวข้อ “อดีต ปัจจุบัน และอนาคตของงานแปลบทบรรยายใต้ภาพและบทพากย์ในยุคปัญญาประดิษฐ์: โอกาสและความท้าทายในอุตสาหกรรมสื่อโสตทัศน์ไทย” ซึ่งจะจัดขึ้นระหว่างเวลา 14.00–15.30 น. โดยมุ่งนำเสนอภาพรวมของการเปลี่ยนแปลงในวงการแปลสื่อโสตทัศน์ การพากย์ และการใช้เทคโนโลยีปัญญาประดิษฐ์ (AI) ที่กำลังส่งผลต่อการผลิตและการเผยแพร่เนื้อหาในอุตสาหกรรมสื่อไทยและระดับนานาชาติ
การเสวนาครั้งนี้ได้รับเกียรติจากวิทยากรผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิและมีประสบการณ์ตรงในวงการ ประกอบด้วย คุณพัชญาพัทธ์ อรมังพัตกุล ที่ปรึกษากิตติมศักดิ์คณะกรรมการตรวจสอบคุณสมบัติและผู้ตรวจบทพากย์จาก Thai PBS คุณสมาลี สวรรธรรม อดีตนักแสดงและนักพากย์ทีม Thai PBS และคุณเอกภพ ผาวงศ์ นักแปลบทบรรยายบนแพลตฟอร์มสตรีมมิ่ง เจ้าของเพจ “ขับรถลา” และประธานชมรมนักแปลซับสตรีมมิ่งไทย ภายใต้การกำกับดูแลของ SEAProTI

สำนักคณะกรรมการกฤษฎีกาเสนอให้ตราเป็นพระราชกฤษฎีกา โดยกำหนดให้นักแปลที่ขึ้นทะเบียน รวมถึงผู้รับรองการแปลจากสมาคมวิชาชีพหรือสถาบันสอนภาษาที่มีการอบรมและขึ้นทะเบียน สามารถรับรองคำแปลได้ (จดหมายถึงสมาคม SEAProTI ลงวันที่ 28 เม.ย. 2568)
