SEAProTI and International Professional Organizations Honor Young Talent
In Subtitling with the “Rising Star in Subtitling Award.”
The Southeast Asian Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters (SEAProTI), in collaboration with the Worldwide Interpreters and Translators Association (WITA), the Union of International Translators (UIT), and the Asian Federation of Translators and Interpreters (AFTI), organized the “Rising Star in Subtitling Award” ceremony on May 31, 2026, to recognize outstanding young audiovisual translators who have made significant contributions to the field of subtitling on the international stage.
The award aims to promote and encourage emerging translators specializing in subtitling for films, television series, documentaries, and digital media, a field that continues to grow in importance amid the expansion of global streaming platforms and the creative economy.
Representatives of the organizing committee stated that high-quality subtitles are far more than direct translations of spoken words. Effective subtitling requires the ability to convey emotions, cultural context, and the essence of the original content naturally and accurately, enabling audiences around the world to access information and entertainment equally.
The award also reflects the collaborative efforts of international professional organizations in advancing standards for audiovisual translation while supporting the development of young translators so they can compete and work successfully in the global market.
The “Rising Star in Subtitling Award” therefore represents not only recognition of the recipients’ achievements, but also a symbol of the future of audiovisual translation — one driven by quality, creativity, and the power of language and culture to connect people worldwide.

About certified translators, translation certifiers, and certified interpreters associated with SEAProTI. SEAProTI is the first professional association in Thailand and Southeast Asia to implement a comprehensive certification system for translators, certifiers, and interpreters.

SEAProTI ร่วมองค์กรวิชาชีพระดับนานาชาติ มอบรางวัล Rising Star in Subtitling Award เชิดชูนักแปลซับไตเติลรุ่นใหม่
สมาคมนักแปลและล่ามวิชาชีพแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ หรือ SEAProTI ร่วมกับ Worldwide Interpreters and Translators Association, Union of International Translators และ Asian Federation of Translators and Interpreters จัดพิธีมอบรางวัล “Rising Star in Subtitling Award” เมื่อวันที่ 31 พฤษภาคม 2569 เพื่อยกย่องนักแปลสื่อโสตทัศน์รุ่นใหม่ที่มีผลงานโดดเด่นในวงการคำบรรยายภาพระดับสากล
รางวัลดังกล่าวมีเป้าหมายเพื่อส่งเสริมศักยภาพของนักแปลรุ่นใหม่ในสาขาการแปลซับไตเติลสำหรับภาพยนตร์ ซีรีส์ สารคดี และสื่อดิจิทัล ซึ่งมีบทบาทสำคัญมากขึ้นในยุคแพลตฟอร์มสตรีมมิงและเศรษฐกิจสร้างสรรค์
ผู้แทนคณะผู้จัดงานระบุว่า ซับไตเติลที่มีคุณภาพไม่ได้เป็นเพียงการถ่ายทอดถ้อยคำจากภาษาหนึ่งไปสู่อีกภาษาหนึ่งเท่านั้น แต่ยังต้องคำนึงถึงอารมณ์ บริบททางวัฒนธรรม และความเป็นธรรมชาติของภาษา เพื่อให้ผู้ชมจากหลากหลายประเทศสามารถเข้าถึงเนื้อหาได้อย่างถูกต้องและเท่าเทียม
การมอบรางวัลครั้งนี้สะท้อนถึงความร่วมมือขององค์กรวิชาชีพด้านการแปลและล่ามในระดับนานาชาติ ในการยกระดับมาตรฐานงานแปลสื่อโสตทัศน์ พร้อมทั้งสนับสนุนให้นักแปลรุ่นใหม่พัฒนาทักษะและก้าวสู่การทำงานในระดับสากล
รางวัล “Rising Star in Subtitling Award” จึงไม่เพียงเป็นการเชิดชูความสำเร็จของผู้ได้รับรางวัล แต่ยังเป็นสัญลักษณ์ของการขับเคลื่อนอนาคตวงการแปลซับไตเติล ที่มุ่งสู่คุณภาพ ความคิดสร้างสรรค์ และการเชื่อมโยงผู้คนทั่วโลกผ่านภาษาและวัฒนธรรม
สมาคมวิชาชีพนักแปลและล่ามแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ (SEAProTI) ได้ประกาศหลักเกณฑ์และคุณสมบัติของผู้ที่ขึ้นทะเบียนเป็น “นักแปลรับรอง (Certified Translators) และผู้รับรองการแปล (Translation Certification Providers) และล่ามรับรอง (Certified Interpreters)” ของสมาคม หมวดที่ 9 และหมวดที่ 10 ในราชกิจจานุเบกษา ของสำนักเลขาธิการคณะรัฐมนตรี ในสำนักนายกรัฐมนตรี แห่งราชอาณาจักรไทย ลงวันที่ 25 ก.ค. 2567 เล่มที่ 141 ตอนที่ 66 ง หน้า 100 อ่านฉบับเต็มได้ที่: นักแปลรับรอง ผู้รับรองการแปล และล่ามรับรอง
สำนักคณะกรรมการกฤษฎีกาเสนอให้ตราเป็นพระราชกฤษฎีกา โดยกำหนดให้นักแปลที่ขึ้นทะเบียน รวมถึงผู้รับรองการแปลจากสมาคมวิชาชีพหรือสถาบันสอนภาษาที่มีการอบรมและขึ้นทะเบียน สามารถรับรองคำแปลได้ (จดหมายถึงสมาคม SEAProTI ลงวันที่ 28 เม.ย. 2568)
