SEAProTI discussing Professional Translators, Translation Certification Providers, and Professional Interpreters Bill
As of March 10, 2024, in Bangkok, members and business operators gathered for a discussion regarding the draft of the Professional Translators, Translation Certification Providers, and Professional Interpreters Act B.E. (Private and Community Sector). The meeting was organized by the Southeast Asian Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters (SEAProTI) and chaired by Khun Wanitcha Sumanat, the president of SEAProTI, an arbitrator at the Thailand Arbitration Center (THAC), a mediator at the Ministry of Justice, and the court-martial of the Ministry of Defence.
SEAProTI is exceedingly appreciative of Mr. Pairat Saengsidum of the Thai Parliament for his perceptive analysis of a variety of texts and legal substance. A few meetings with relevant government agencies are also scheduled in conjunction with SEAProTI.
Additionally, SEAProTI wishes to express its gratitude to Pol. Lt. Col. Dr. Chitpol Kanchanakit, Lecturer Group, Education Command, Royal Thai Police Office, Associate Professor (Sor Bor 5), for his insights on interpreting the justice system. Additionally, SEAProTI appreciates that Mr. Peter Fretten, Liaison Interpreter for the Lumpini Metropolitan Police Station, shared his insights with the attendees of the meeting concerning the requirements of the interpreting community.

SEAProTI ประชุม ถก ร่าง พระราชบัญญัติวิชาชีพ นักแปลรับรอง ผู้รับรองการแปล และล่ามรับรอง (ภาคประชาชน) ซึ่งจะกลายเป็นกฎหมายหลักของประเทศในอนาคต
ณ วันที่ 10 มีนาคม 2567 ที่กรุงเทพฯ สมาชิกและผู้ประกอบธุรกิจได้จัดประชุมเพื่อหารือเกี่ยวกับ ร่างพระราชบัญญัตินักแปลมืออาชีพ ผู้ให้บริการรับรองการแปล และล่ามมืออาชีพ พ.ศ. .... (ภาคประชาชน) การประชุมดังกล่าวจัดโดยสมาคมนักแปลและล่ามมืออาชีพแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ (SEAProTI) และมีคุณวณิชชา สุมานัส นายกสมาคม SEAProTI อนุญาโตตุลาการ จากสถาบันอนุญาโตตุลาการ (THAC) และผู้ไกล่เกลี่ยกระทรวงยุติธรรม และศาลทหารของ กระทรวงกลาโหม เป็นประธาน
SEAProTI ขอขอบคุณ ท่านไพรัช แสงสีดำ จากรัฐสภาไทย อย่างยิ่งสำหรับการวิเคราะห์ข้อความและเนื้อหาทางกฎหมายที่หลากหลายอย่างมีวิจารณญาณ มีกำหนดการประชุมร่วมกับหน่วยงานภาครัฐที่เกี่ยวข้องร่วมกับ SEAProTI ด้วยเช่นกัน
นอกจากนี้ SEAProTI ขอแสดงความขอบคุณต่อ พ.ต.ท. ดร. ชิตพล กาญจนกิจ กลุ่มอาจารย์ กองบัญชาการการศึกษา สำนักงานตำรวจแห่งชาติ รองศาสตราจารย์ (สบ 5) สำหรับข้อมูลเชิงลึกเกี่ยวกับการข้อมูลเชิงลึกเกี่ยวกับระบบยุติธรรม นอกจากนี้ SEAProTI ขอขอบคุณที่ Mr. Peter Fretten ล่ามประสานงานของสถานีตำรวจนครบาลลุมพินี ได้แบ่งปันข้อมูลเชิงลึกกับผู้เข้าร่วมการประชุมเกี่ยวกับข้อกำหนดของชุมชนล่าม
ร่าง พระราชบัญญัติวิชาชีพ นักแปลรับรอง ผู้รับรองการแปล และล่ามรับรอง (ภาคประชาชน) ยังได้กำหนดหลักเกณฑ์คุณสมบัตินักแปลรับรอง ผู้รับรองการแปล และล่ามรับรอง ตามที่สภาวิชาชีพนักแปลและล่ามรับรองแห่งประเทศไทย เป็นผู้ประกาศกำหนด และจะเป็นกฎหมายว่าด้วยการประกอบวิชาชีพนักแปลและล่าม ฉบับแรกของประเทศไทย โดยผู้ที่จะจดทะเบียนเป็น นักแปลรับรอง ผู้รับรองการแปล และล่ามรับรอง ชุดแรกของประเทศไทย จะมาจาก นักแปลรับรอง ผู้รับรองการแปล และล่ามรับรอง ที่จดทะเบียนกับสมาคมวิชาชีพนักแปลและล่ามแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ เท่านั้น
