By virtue of Articles 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 of the Bylaws of the Southeast Asian Association of Translators and Interpreters, concerning the panelists of the association, the qualifications of the panelists, and the registration of certified practitioners, the Southeast Asian Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters (SEAProTI) is delighted to announce that the following candidates are qualified and have formally been admitted as panelists, sitting in the Panel of Certified Translators and Interpreters of the Southeast Asian Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters (SEAProTI).

The panelists are authorized to perform professional translations and certify them “on behalf of SEAProTI” with either the SEAProTI translator stamp, the Certificate of Translation Accuracy, or any other means required by users. The panelists’ tenure will end on December 31, 2026, after a duration of three years. The panelists may choose to reapply prior to the expiration of their commission, subject to the requirements that will be in force at that time. This includes submitting a full application to extend the commission term as well as the membership expenses established at the time of membership renewal. Furthermore, panelists must provide proof of ten work samples each year as well as certificates demonstrating they attended a minimum of two SEAProTI-certified continuous professional development (CPD) events, either conducted by SEAProTI or those under MOU with SEAProTI, to us on an annual basis.

This notification shall be effective as of the date of the announcement.

The date of the announcement is December 20, 2023.
