SEAProTI Participates as Official Interpreters at Regional Dialogue on Child Sexual Exploitation in Bali
From 27–29 May 2025, The Westin Resort, Nusa Dua, Bali, Indonesia, hosted the “Child Sexual Exploitation Regional Dialogue 2025,” a high-level regional conference focused on countering child sexual exploitation in Southeast Asia. The event brought together representatives from government agencies, international organizations, and civil society from across the region to share strategies and enhance cooperation in combating child sexual exploitation.
At this significant event, Khun Wanitcha Sumanat, President of the Southeast Asian Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters (SEAProTI), and Khun Nutchchanan Nithirungruang, a member of SEAProTI’s Professional Qualification Review Committee, were honored to serve as official interpreters for the full three-day program. Their role was vital in facilitating accurate and effective communication among international delegates, thereby supporting the humanitarian and human rights objectives of the dialogue.
The participation of professional Thai interpreters at this international forum highlights the capacity and expertise of the Thai interpreting profession in contributing to critical global issues, particularly in protecting children and addressing the challenge of sexual exploitation, which requires strong multi-sectoral collaboration.
The event was officially opened by the Australian Ambassador to Indonesia, Mr. Rod Brazier, and Indonesia’s Vice Minister for Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection, Ms. Veronica Tan.
“Child sexual exploitation is a global crime that requires a global response. Cooperation between law enforcement, other relevant government agencies, and civil society is essential to protect children in our region,” said Ambassador Brazier.
The Dialogue was co-hosted by the Australian Federal Police and the Australian Attorney-General’s Department, in collaboration with the Jakarta Centre for Law Enforcement Cooperation (JCLEC), the Indonesian National Police, and the Indonesian Ministry for Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection, along with law enforcement agencies and stakeholders from other Southeast Asian countries.
In addition, Ambassador Brazier and Vice Minister Tan visited a community-based initiative promoting women’s empowerment in Dauh Puri Kaja village. This initiative, led by KAPAL Perempuan and Bali Sruti, is supported by the Australia-Indonesia Partnership Towards an Inclusive Society (INKLUSI).
The “Sekolah Perempuan” or “Women’s School” uses traditional Balinese cultural elements—such as gamelan music and local arts—to foster women’s leadership and prevent violence against women and children. The delegation also visited Pos Pengaduan, a local community forum that gives voice to vulnerable groups, including persons with disabilities and survivors of gender-based violence.
“Indonesia and Australia share a partnership to advance gender equality and inclusive development,” said Ambassador Brazier. “We are supporting innovative, community-led programs that empower women and marginalized groups to ensure that no one is left behind.”

The Southeast Asian Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters (SEAProTI) has officially announced the criteria and qualifications for individuals to register as “Certified Translators,” “Translation Certification Providers,” and “Certified Interpreters” under the association’s regulations. These guidelines are detailed in Sections 9 and 10 of the Royal Thai Government Gazette, issued by the Secretariat of the Cabinet under the Office of the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, dated July 25, 2024, Volume 141, Part 66 Ng, Page 100.

SEAProTI ร่วมปฏิบัติหน้าที่ล่ามในเวทีประชุมระดับภูมิภาคต้านการแสวงหาประโยชน์ทางเพศจากเด็ก ที่บาหลี
เมื่อวันที่ 27–29 พฤษภาคม 2568 ที่ผ่านมา ณ โรงแรม The Westin Resort, Nusa Dua, Bali ประเทศอินโดนีเซีย ได้มีการจัดงานประชุมระดับภูมิภาคเรื่องการต่อต้านการแสวงหาประโยชน์ทางเพศจากเด็กในภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ ภายใต้ชื่อ “Child Sexual Exploitation Regional Dialogue 2025” โดยมีผู้แทนจากหน่วยงานรัฐบาล องค์กรระหว่างประเทศ และภาคประชาสังคมจากหลายประเทศเข้าร่วม เพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลและแนวทางความร่วมมือในการป้องกันและปราบปรามการล่วงละเมิดทางเพศต่อเด็กในระดับภูมิภาค
ในการประชุมครั้งนี้ คุณวณิชชา สุมานัส นายกสมาคมวิชาชีพนักแปลและล่ามแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ (SEAProTI) และคุณณัฐชนันท์ นิธิรุ่งเรือง กรรมการตรวจสอบคุณวุฒิวิชาชีพ ได้รับเกียรติให้ร่วมปฏิบัติหน้าที่ล่ามอย่างเป็นทางการตลอดระยะเวลา 3 วันของการประชุม โดยทั้งสองท่านมีบทบาทสำคัญในการถ่ายทอดสาระสำคัญของการประชุมระหว่างผู้แทนจากประเทศต่างๆ ช่วยให้การสื่อสารเป็นไปอย่างราบรื่นและมีประสิทธิภาพ ซึ่งถือเป็นการสนับสนุนภารกิจด้านมนุษยธรรมและสิทธิมนุษยชนในระดับภูมิภาค
การมีส่วนร่วมของล่ามมืออาชีพจากประเทศไทยในเวทีระดับนานาชาติครั้งนี้ สะท้อนถึงศักยภาพของวิชาชีพนักแปลและล่ามไทยในการสนับสนุนประเด็นสำคัญระดับโลก โดยเฉพาะในเรื่องการคุ้มครองเด็กและการต่อต้านการแสวงหาประโยชน์ทางเพศ ซึ่งเป็นปัญหาที่ต้องอาศัยความร่วมมือจากทุกภาคส่วนอย่างจริงจัง
โดยในงานนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตออสเตรเลีย ร็อด เบรเซียร์ และรัฐมนตรีช่วยว่าการกระทรวงส่งเสริมสิทธิสตรีและการคุ้มครองเด็กของอินโดนีเซีย เวโรนิกา ตัน เข้าร่วมพิธีเปิดการประชุมเชิงปฏิบัติการระดับภูมิภาคว่าด้วยการต่อต้านการแสวงหาประโยชน์ทางเพศจากเด็ก ครั้งที่ 4 ประจำปี 2025 ที่บาหลี
“การแสวงหาประโยชน์ทางเพศจากเด็กเป็นอาชญากรรมระดับโลกที่ต้องการการตอบสนองในระดับโลก การประสานความร่วมมือระหว่างหน่วยงานบังคับใช้กฎหมาย หน่วยงานภาครัฐที่เกี่ยวข้อง และภาคประชาสังคม มีความจำเป็นอย่างยิ่งในการคุ้มครองเด็กในภูมิภาคของเรา” เอกอัครราชทูตเบรเซียร์กล่าว
การประชุมครั้งนี้จัดขึ้นระหว่างวันที่ 27-29 พฤษภาคม โดยมีสำนักงานตำรวจแห่งชาติออสเตรเลีย และกระทรวงอัยการสูงสุดออสเตรเลียร่วมเป็นเจ้าภาพ ร่วมด้วยศูนย์ความร่วมมือด้านการบังคับใช้กฎหมายจาการ์ตา (JCLEC) สำนักงานตำรวจแห่งชาติอินโดนีเซีย และกระทรวงส่งเสริมสิทธิสตรีและการคุ้มครองเด็กอินโดนีเซีย พร้อมหน่วยงานบังคับใช้กฎหมายจากประเทศในเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้และผู้มีส่วนเกี่ยวข้องในระดับภูมิภาค
เอกอัครราชทูตเบรเซียร์ และรัฐมนตรีช่วยฯ ตัน ยังได้เยี่ยมชมโครงการริเริ่มในระดับชุมชนที่มุ่งเสริมสร้างบทบาทของสตรีในหมู่บ้านดาวห์ปูรี กาจา ซึ่งโครงการนี้ดำเนินการโดย KAPAL Perempuan และ Bali Sruti ภายใต้การสนับสนุนจากความร่วมมือระหว่างออสเตรเลีย–อินโดนีเซียเพื่อสังคมที่ทั่วถึง (INKLUSI)
‘Sekolah Perempuan’ หรือ ‘โรงเรียนสตรี’ เป็นโรงเรียนในชุมชนที่ใช้ศิลปวัฒนธรรมท้องถิ่น เช่น ดนตรีกามีลันและศิลปะพื้นบ้านบาหลี เป็นเครื่องมือในการส่งเสริมบทบาทผู้นำของสตรีและป้องกันความรุนแรงต่อสตรีและเด็ก ทั้งสองท่านยังได้เยี่ยมชม ‘Pos Pengaduan’ ซึ่งเป็นเวทีของชุมชนในการส่งเสียงแทนกลุ่มเปราะบาง เช่น ผู้พิการ และเหยื่อความรุนแรงบนฐานเพศ
“ออสเตรเลียและอินโดนีเซียมีความร่วมมือเพื่อส่งเสริมความเท่าเทียมทางเพศและการพัฒนาที่ทั่วถึง” เอกอัครราชทูตเบรเซียร์กล่าว “เราสนับสนุนโครงการสร้างสรรค์ที่นำโดยชุมชนเพื่อเสริมพลังให้สตรีและกลุ่มเปราะบาง เพื่อให้มั่นใจว่า ‘ไม่มีใครถูกทิ้งไว้ข้างหลัง’
