organized Conference Interpreters Society (CIS) under the supervision of the Southeast Asian Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters (SEAProTI)
This intensive 48-hour programme is designed to systematically develop the core competencies of conference interpreters—from active listening and meaning extraction to cognitive load management, consecutive interpreting, and simultaneous interpreting. The curriculum includes workshops on public speaking, concision, deverbalisation, and practical interpreting in real-world settings, including international organisations, business sectors, and government agencies.
Participants will receive hands-on practice through classroom sessions, online components, and supervised practicum with professional interpreter partners. The programme also provides opportunities to connect with employer networks and partner organisations with existing MOUs under SEAProTI.
