Regulations on Members of the Southeast Asian Professional Association of Translators and Interpreters B.E. 2564 (2021)
18 December 2025, Bangkok — Pursuant to the Regulations of the Southeast Asian Professional Association of Translators and Interpreters, as published in the Royal Gazette on 4 November 2020, Clause 4.8, which defines ordinary members as natural persons holding Thai nationality or other nationalities who engage professionally in translation, translation certification, or interpreting, and who have passed the selection process to undergo required interpreter registration training, the Association hereby issues the “Regulations on Members of the Southeast Asian Professional Association of Translators and Interpreters, B.E. 2564”. Accordingly, it is enacted as follows:
Clause 1 These regulations shall be called the “Regulations on Members of the Southeast Asian Professional Association of Translators and Interpreters, B.E. 2564”.
Clause 2 These regulations shall enter into force on the day following the date of their announcement.
Clause 3 For the purposes of these regulations: “Professional translator” means a person who works full-time as a translator and holds a translator position, or a related, associated, or affiliated role and receives regular remuneration from such position for not less than three (3) years; or a seasonal translator with proof of completed translation work of at least 250,000 words or equivalent to five (5) books (at 250 pages per book).
“Professional translation certifier” means a person engaged in translation certification duties arising from the role of a professional translator.
“Professional interpreter” means a person who works full-time as an interpreter and holds an interpreter position, or a related, associated, or affiliated role, and receives regular remuneration for at least three (3) years; or a seasonal interpreter who must provide demonstrable evidence of not less than 280 hours of interpreting experience. (Excluding freelance foreign language court interpreting, exhibition product-promotion interpreting, commercial liaison interpreting, and other forms that are not full-scope duties or whose hours cannot be reliably calculated.)
“Selected for registered interpreter training” means an interpreter selected by representatives appointed by the Association through a standardized qualification system.
“Registered interpreter” means an interpreter selected to undergo training of not less than 45 hours under a standardized qualification and certification process conducted by authorized representatives.
“Registered translator” means a translator selected to undergo training of not less than 30 hours and who passes the competency examination conducted by authorized representatives.
“Representative” means a qualified person entrusted with responsibilities relating to training, examination, registration, evaluation, and professional ethics assessments.
“Registration” means the process whereby an individual, having passed required training and examination, is officially recorded by the Registrar under the authority of the Ministry of Commerce and the Bureau of Continuing Professional Development, and receives a license accordingly.
The Registrar under the Bureau of Continuing Professional Development shall administer the registration and issuance of licenses.
Chapter 1
Registered Professional Translators and Interpreters
Clause 4
Applicants seeking registration as professional translators, translation certifiers, or interpreters must submit an application through authorized representatives, who shall examine suitability under standardized professional qualification criteria. Registration, renewal, issuance of certificates, issuance of replacement certificates, reporting requirements, and identification cards shall follow rules and procedures prescribed by the Registrar.
Applications shall be submitted annually. The Association’s committee shall examine professional documents and conduct suitability and ethical behavior assessments. If satisfactory, renewal shall be granted upon payment of membership fees.
Clause 5
Registered professional translators, translation certifiers, and interpreters must meet qualification requirements and be free from disqualifying characteristics under the Association’s Regulations as published in the Royal Gazette on 4 November 2020, Chapter 2 “Membership”, Clause 6, “Membership Qualifications”.
Chapter 2
Duties
Clause 6
Registered professional translators, translation certifiers, and interpreters may undertake the following:
(2.1) Perform translation, translation certification, and interpreting on behalf of the Association.
(2.2) Perform such duties based on knowledge and competency acquired through Association-approved training.
(2.3) Perform such duties in accordance with the Code of Practices of the Bureau of Continuing Professional Development under the supervision of the Association.
(2.4) Perform such duties based on the Code of Practices and the Code of Ethics of the profession under the supervision of the Association.
Clause 7
The categories of registered translators and interpreters are as follows:
(7.1) Certified Translator
Recognized under legal and medical quality standards.
Level-2 Certified Translator (C-2): authorized to translate basic documents such as administrative documents, governmental documents, and documents with uncomplicated linguistic structure.
Level-3 Certified Translator (C-3): authorized to translate complex documents requiring specialized terminology and subject-specific knowledge.
(7.2) Certified Interpreter
Recognized under legal and medical quality standards.
Level-2 Certified Interpreter (C-2): authorized to interpret non-complex language content, such as public events, community meetings, seminars, or liaison interpreting duties.
Level-3 Certified Interpreter (C-3): authorized to interpret complex language content, such as in courts, legal meetings, police proceedings, prosecutors’ offices, or operating rooms.
(7.3) Certified Conference Interpreter
A registered interpreter recognized under legal and medical quality standards capable of simultaneous interpreting in booths.
(7.4) Recognized Practitioners
Translators and interpreters of rare or critical languages, invited by the Association as members, who are not registered and not certified under the standardized qualification system.
Chapter 3
Dispute Resolution
Clause 8 Where disputes arise between registered professional translators or interpreters and the Association, or between stakeholders and the Association, complaints shall be submitted to the Bureau of Continuing Professional Development for consideration and assignment of appropriate officers.
Chapter 4
Membership Benefits
Clause 9 Members shall receive benefits in accordance with rules, procedures, conditions, and announcements issued by the Association.
Chapter 5
Termination of Membership
Clause 10 Resignation, cessation, or revocation of registered translator or interpreter status shall be governed by the rules, procedures, conditions, and regulations of the Association.
These regulations are issued for collective compliance. All stakeholders are required to adhere strictly.

About Certified Translators, Translation Certifiers, and Certified Interpreters of SEAProTI
The Southeast Asian Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters (SEAProTI) has formally announced the qualifications and requirements for registration of Certified Translators, Translation Certification Providers, and Certified Interpreters in Sections 9 and 10 of the Royal Gazette, published by the Secretariat of the Cabinet, Office of the Prime Minister of Thailand, on 25 July 2024 (Vol. 141, Part 66 Ng, p. 100). The Council of State has proposed the enactment of a Royal Decree, granting registered translators and recognized translation certifiers from professional associations or accredited language institutions the authority to provide legally valid translation certification (Letter to SEAProTI dated April 28, 2025)
SEAProTI is the first professional association in Thailand and Southeast Asia to implement a comprehensive certification system for translators, certifiers, and interpreters.

ข้อปฏิบัติว่าด้วยสมาชิกสมาคมวิชาชีพนักแปลและล่ามแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ พ.ศ. ๒๕๖๔
18 ธันวาคม 2568, กรุงเทพมหานคร – อาศัยความตามข้อบังคับสมาคมวิชาชีพนักแปลและล่ามแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ ฉบับประกาศในราชกิจจานุเบกษา ลงวันที่ ๔ พฤศจิกายน ๒๕๖๓ ข้อ ๔.๘ สมาชิกสามัญ ได้แก่ บุคคลธรรมดาผู้มีสัญชาติไทย หรือถือสัญชาติอื่น ซึ่งประกอบวิชาชีพเกี่ยวกับการแปล หรือรับรองการแปล หรือการล่ามอาชีพ ที่ผ่านการคัดเลือกมาเพื่อให้พร้อมรับการฝึกอบรมเป็นล่ามขึ้นทะเบียน เพื่อให้เกิดความชัดเจนในคุณสมบัติของสมาชิกประเภทนี้ สมาคมจึงได้เห็นชอบให้ออก “ข้อปฏิบัติว่าด้วยสมาชิกสมาคมวิชาชีพนักแปลและล่ามแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ ปี ๒๕๖๔” ดังนั้น
ข้อ ๑ ข้อปฏิบัตินี้เรียกว่า “ข้อปฏิบัติว่าด้วยสมาชิกสมาคมวิชาชีพนักแปลและล่ามแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ พ.ศ. ๒๕๖๔”
ข้อ ๒ ข้อปฏิบัตินี้ให้ใช้บังคับตั้งแต่วันถัดจากวันประกาศ
ข้อ ๓ ในข้อปฏิบัตินี้
“ผู้ประกอบวิชาชีพเกี่ยวกับการแปล” หมายความว่า เป็นผู้ประกอบอาชีพการแปลที่ทำประจำ และมีตำแหน่งนักแปล หรือเกี่ยวเนื่อง เกี่ยวข้อง หรือเกี่ยวพัน และได้รับค่าจ้างจากตำแหน่งนี้เป็นประจำอยู่แล้ว ไม่น้อยกว่า ๓ ปี หรือผู้ประกอบอาชีพนักแปลตามฤดูกาล โดยมีผลงานแปลเอกสารอย่างน้อย ๒๕๐,๐๐๐ คำ หรือเท่ากับหนังสือ ๕ เล่ม โดย ๑ เล่มมี ๒๕๐ หน้า “ผู้ประกอบวิชาชีพเกี่ยวกับการรับรองการแปล” หมายความว่า เป็นผู้ประกอบอาชีพรับรองการแปล จากการปฏิบัติหน้าที่เป็น “ผู้ประกอบวิชาชีพเกี่ยวกับการแปล”
“ผู้ประกอบวิชาชีพล่าม” หมายความว่า เป็นผู้ประกอบอาชีพล่ามที่ทำประจำและมีตำแหน่งล่ามอาชีพ หรือเกี่ยวเนื่อง เกี่ยวข้อง หรือเกี่ยวพัน และได้รับค่าจ้างจากตำแหน่งนี้เป็นประจำอยู่แล้ว ไม่น้อยกว่า ๓ ปี หรือผู้ประกอบอาชีพล่ามตามฤดูกาล โดยจะต้องมีหลักฐานในเชิงประจักษ์ว่ามีประสบการณ์ทำงานไม่น้อยกว่า ๒๘๐ ชั่วโมง ขึ้นไป (ไม่นรวมงานล่ามอิสระภาษาต่างประเทศของศาลยุติธรรม ล่ามต้อนรับแนะนำสินค้าในงานแสดงสินค้า ถามพาชื้อสินค้า ล่ามประสานงาน และล่ามอื่น ๆ ที่ไม่ใช่ปฏิบัติหน้าที่เต็มวง ซึ่งงานเหล่านี้นับชั่วโมงยาก)
“ผ่านการคัดเลือกมาเพื่อให้พร้อมรับการฝึกอบรมเป็นล่ามขึ้นทะเบียน” หมายความว่า ผู้ประกอบวิชาชีพล่าม ที่ได้รับการคัดเลือกจากผู้แทนที่สมาคมกำหนดว่าข้อกล่าวมานี้ให้ทำการคัดเลือก โดยกระบวนการคัดเลือกตามระบบรับรองมาตรฐานคุณวุฒิวิชาชีพโดยผู้ที่มีความรู้เสมอกัน
“ล่ามขึ้นทะเบียน” หมายความว่า เป็นล่ามที่ได้รับการคัดเลือกมาเพื่อให้พร้อมรับการฝึกอบรมเป็นล่ามขึ้นทะเบียน โดยผ่านหลักสูตรการอบรมล่าม ๔๕ ชั่วโมงขึ้นไป และโดยกระบวนการคัดเลือกตามระบบรับรองมาตรฐานคุณวุฒิวิชาชีพโดยผู้ที่มีความรู้เสมอกัน ของผู้แทนที่ทำข้อกล่าวร่วมกับสมาคมไว้
“นักแปลขึ้นทะเบียน” หมายความว่า เป็นนักแปลที่ได้รับการคัดเลือกมาเพื่อให้พร้อมรับการฝึกอบรมเป็นนักแปลขึ้นทะเบียนและผู้รับรองการแปลขึ้นทะเบียน โดยผ่านหลักสูตรการอบรมน้อยกว่า ๓๐ ชั่วโมงขึ้นไป และสอบขึ้นทะเบียนของผู้แทนตามระบบรับรองมาตรฐานคุณวุฒิวิชาชีพโดยผู้ที่มีความรู้เสมอกัน
“ผู้แทน” หมายความว่า เป็นบุคคลสำคัญ ที่มีความโดดเด่นด้านข้อกล่าวร่วมกันให้กระทำการอย่างใดอย่างหนึ่งเพื่อวัตถุประสงค์ในการฝึกอบรม การสอน การขึ้นทะเบียนตามระบบรับรองมาตรฐานคุณวุฒิวิชาชีพโดยผู้ที่มีความรู้เสมอกัน และส่งเสริมจรรยาบรรณวิชาชีพและประเมินคุณภาพ
“ขึ้นทะเบียน” หมายถึง การที่ผู้ประกอบวิชาชีพเกี่ยวกับการแปล หรือรับรองการแปล หรือการล่ามอาชีพ ที่ผ่านการคัดเลือกมาเพื่อให้พร้อมรับการฝึกอบรมเป็นล่ามขึ้นทะเบียนได้ผ่านการสอบวัดระดับตามที่สมาคมกำหนด และขึ้นทะเบียนของสำนักงานทะเบียน ภายใต้การรับรองกระทรวงพาณิชย์ สำนักงานพัฒนาวิชาชีพต่อเนื่อง เป็นผู้สมบูรณ์ มีนายทะเบียนของสำนักงานทะเบียน ภายใต้การบริหารงานของ สำนักงานพัฒนาวิชาชีพต่อเนื่อง เป็นผู้อำนวยการ และออกใบอนุญาตให้
หมวดที่ ๑
ผู้ประกอบวิชาชีพเกี่ยวกับการแปล หรือรับรองการแปล หรือการล่ามอาชีพขึ้นทะเบียน
ข้อ ๔ บุคคลที่ประสงค์จะขึ้นทะเบียนเป็นผู้ประกอบวิชาชีพเกี่ยวกับการแปล หรือรับรองการแปล หรือการล่ามอาชีพขึ้นทะเบียนนั้น ให้ยื่นคำร้องหรือใบสมัครต่อสมาคม ผ่านผู้แทนที่ได้รับมอบอำนาจในการรับคำร้องหรือรับสมัคร และมีอำนาจในการสรรหาบุคคลซึ่งมีความเหมาะสมที่จะขึ้นทะเบียนเป็นผู้ประกอบวิชาชีพเกี่ยวกับการแปล หรือรับรองการแปล หรือการล่ามอาชีพขึ้นทะเบียน ตามระบบรับรองมาตรฐานคุณวุฒิวิชาชีพโดยผู้ที่มีความรู้เสมอกัน ซึ่งจะต้องได้รับความยินยอมจากบุคคลนั้นด้วย การยื่นคำขอขึ้นทะเบียน การออกหนังสือรับรองการขึ้นทะเบียน การต่ออายุหนังสือรับรอง การขึ้นทะเบียน การออกใบแทนหนังสือรับรองการขึ้นทะเบียน การแจ้งรายการในการยื่นคำขอขึ้นทะเบียน และแบบบัตรประจำตัวผู้ประกอบวิชาชีพเกี่ยวกับการแปล หรือรับรองการแปล หรือการล่ามอาชีพขึ้นทะเบียนนั้น ให้นำไปตามหลักเกณฑ์ วิธีการ และเงื่อนไขที่นายทะเบียนประกาศ แก้หรือผ่านผู้แทน ซึ่งโดยหลักแล้ว จะต้องยื่นใบสมัครปีต่อปี เพื่อให้กรรมการสมาคมตรวจสอบเอกสารปฏิบัติงานและความประพฤติเป็นที่น่าพอ เมื่อกรรมการตรวจสอบใบสมัครเป็นที่พอใจแล้ว และเห็นว่าผู้สมัครมีคุณสมบัติครบถ้วน และเห็นควรให้ต่ออายุ จึงให้ผู้สมัครชำระค่าลงชื่อเป็นสมาชิก ดังไป
ข้อ ๕ ผู้ประกอบวิชาชีพเกี่ยวกับการแปล หรือรับรองการแปล หรือการล่ามอาชีพขึ้นทะเบียนนั้นต้องเป็นผู้มีคุณสมบัติและไม่มีลักษณะต้องห้าม ให้ถ่องถึงจากข้อบังคับของสมาคมวิชาชีพนักแปลและล่ามแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ ฉบับประกาศในราชกิจจานุเบกษา ลงวันที่ ๔ พฤศจิกายน ๒๕๖๓ หมวดที่ ๒ ว่าด้วย “สมาชิก” ในข้อ ๖ ว่าด้วย “คุณสมบัติของสมาชิก”
หมวดที่ ๒
การปฏิบัติหน้าที่
ข้อ ๖ ผู้ประกอบวิชาชีพเกี่ยวกับการแปล หรือรับรองการแปล หรือการล่ามอาชีพขึ้นทะเบียนนั้น สามารถปฏิบัติหน้าที่งานดังต่อไปนี้
(๒.๑) ดำเนินการแปล รับรองการแปล และการล่าม ในงานสมาคม
ในข้อ ๖ ว่าด้วย “คุณสมบัติของสมาชิก”
หมวดที่ ๒
การปฏิบัติหน้าที่
ข้อ ๖ ผู้ประกอบวิชาชีพเกี่ยวกับการแปล หรือรับรองการแปล หรือการล่ามอาชีพขึ้นทะเบียนนั้น สามารถปฏิบัติงานดังต่อไปนี้
(๒.๑) ดำเนินการแปล รับรองการแปล และการล่าม ในนามสมาคม
(๒.๒) ดำเนินการแปล รับรองการแปล และการล่าม ตามความรู้ความสามารถที่ได้อบรมมากับผู้แทนของสมาคมหรือสมาคม
(๒.๓) ดำเนินการแปล รับรองการแปล และการล่าม ด้วยพื้นฐานแห่งประมวลจรรยาบรรณวิชาชีพ (Code of Practices) ของสำนักงานพัฒนาวิชาชีพต่อเนื่อง (Bureau of Continuing Professional Development) ภายใต้การกำกับดูแลของสมาคมวิชาชีพนักแปลและล่ามแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ (๒.๔) ดำเนินการแปล รับรองการแปล และการล่าม ด้วยพื้นฐานแห่งประมวลจรรยาบรรณวิชาชีพ (Code of Practices) ของสมาคม ด้วยพื้นฐานแห่งประมวลจรรยาบรรณผู้ประกอบวิชาชีพ (Code of Ethics) ภายใต้การกำกับดูแลของสมาคมวิชาชีพนักแปลและล่ามแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้
ข้อ ๗ ประเภทของผู้ประกอบวิชาชีพเกี่ยวกับการแปล หรือรับรองการแปล หรือการล่ามอาชีพขึ้นทะเบียน มีดังนี้
(๗.๑) นักแปลรับรอง (Certified Translator) ด้วยระบบรับรองคุณภาพของนักแปลและล่ามด้านกฎหมายและการแพทย์ ตามระบบรับรองมาตรฐานคุณวุฒิวิชาชีพโดยผู้ที่มีความรู้เสมอกัน
(๗.๑.๑) นักแปลรับรองระดับ ๒ (Level-2 Certification Translator) (C-2) สามารถแปลเอกสารเบื้องต้นได้ เช่น เอกสารเกี่ยวกับงานปกครอง เอกสารราชการและเอกสารที่มีโครงสร้างภาษาไม่ซับซ้อน เป็นต้น
(๗.๑.๒) นักแปลรับรองระดับ ๓ (Level-3 Certification Translator) (C-3) สามารถแปลเอกสารที่มีโครงสร้างภาษาที่ซับซ้อน เข้าใจศัพท์เฉพาะทาง และศัพท์ที่เฉพาะแวดวง เป็นต้น
(๗.๒) ล่ามรับรอง (Certified Interpreter) ด้วยระบบรับรองคุณภาพของนักแปลและล่ามด้านกฎหมายและการแพทย์ ตามระบบรับรองมาตรฐานคุณวุฒิวิชาชีพโดยผู้ที่มีความรู้เสมอกัน
(๗.๒.๑) ล่ามรับรองระดับ ๒ (Level-2 Certification Interpreter) (C-2) สามารถทำล่ามที่มีเนื้อหาของภาษาที่ไม่ซับซ้อนได้ เช่น งานสาธารณะ งานประชุมจุด จุดงานสัมมนา ล่ามประสานงาน เป็นต้น
(๗.๒.๒) ล่ามรับรองระดับ ๓ (Level-3 Certification Interpreter) (C-3) สามารถทำล่ามที่มีเนื้อหาของภาษาที่ซับซ้อนได้ เช่น งานล่ามในศาล งานประชุมทางกฎหมาย งานล่ามตำรวจ งานล่ามในชั้นอัยการ งานล่ามในห้องผ่าตัด เป็นต้น
(๗.๓) ล่ามประชุมรับรอง (Certified Conference Interpreter) เป็นล่ามขึ้นทะเบียนด้วยระบบรับรองคุณภาพของนักแปลและล่ามด้านกฎหมายและการแพทย์ ตามระบบรับรองมาตรฐานคุณวุฒิวิชาชีพโดยผู้ที่มีความรู้เสมอกัน สามารถทำล่ามประชุมที่อยู่ในตู้ล่าม โดยเน้นโหมดการทำล่ามแปลพร้อม (Simultaneous)
(๗.๔) นักแปลและล่ามพิเศษ (Recognized Practitioners) เป็นนักแปลและล่ามคู่ภาษาหายากหรืออยู่สาขาขาดแคลน ซึ่งทางสมาคมเชิญมาเป็นสมาชิก โดย ไม่ได้ขึ้นทะเบียนและไม่ได้เป็นตามระบบรับรองมาตรฐานคุณวุฒิวิชาชีพโดยผู้ที่มีความรู้เสมอกัน
หมวดที่ ๓
การระงับข้อพิพาท
ข้อ ๘ ในกรณีที่ผู้ประกอบวิชาชีพเกี่ยวกับการแปล หรือรับรองการแปล หรือการล่ามอาชีพขึ้นทะเบียนมีข้อพิพาทกับสมาคม เพื่อประมวลวิชาชีพในสมาคม หรือมีผู้มีส่วนได้ส่วนเสียของสมาคม ให้ทำคำร้องยื่นต่อศูนย์ส่งเสริมจรรยาบรรณวิชาชีพ สำนักงานพัฒนาวิชาชีพต่อเนื่อง เพื่อที่ทางสำนักงานจะได้พิจารณา และมอบหมายหน้าที่ให้ผู้ที่เกี่ยวข้องและเหมาะสม
หมวดที่ ๔
สิทธิประโยชน์
ข้อ ๙ ให้สิทธิประโยชน์ของสมาชิกเป็นไปตามหลักเกณฑ์ วิธีการ เงื่อนไข และประกาศของสมาคมทุกประการ
หมวดที่ ๕
การสิ้นสมาชิกภาพ
ข้อ ๑๐ การถอนถอน การสิ้นสภาพ และการเพิกถอนการเป็นผู้ประกอบวิชาชีพเกี่ยวกับการแปล หรือรับรองการแปล หรือการล่ามอาชีพขึ้นทะเบียนนั้น ให้เป็นไปตามหลักเกณฑ์ วิธีการ เงื่อนไข และข้อบังคับของสมาคมทุกประการ
จึงประกาศมาเพื่อให้เป็นข้อปฏิบัติร่วมกัน และขอให้ผู้เกี่ยวข้องปฏิบัติตามอย่างเคร่งครัด

สมาคมวิชาชีพนักแปลและล่ามแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ (SEAProTI) ได้ประกาศหลักเกณฑ์และคุณสมบัติผู้ที่ขึ้นทะเบียนเป็น “นักแปลรับรอง (Certified Translators) และผู้รับรองการแปล (Translation Certification Providers) และล่ามรับรอง (Certified Interpreters)” ของสมาคม หมวดที่ 9 และหมวดที่ 10 ในราชกิจจานุเบกษา ของสำนักเลขาธิการคณะรัฐมนตรี ในสำนักนายกรัฐมนตรี แห่งราชอาณาจักรไทย ลงวันที่ 25 ก.ค. 2567 เล่มที่ 141 ตอนที่ 66 ง หน้า 100 อ่านฉบับเต็มได้ที่: นักแปลรับรอง ผู้รับรองการแปล และล่ามรับรอง
สำนักคณะกรรมการกฤษฎีกา เสนอให้ตราเป็นพระราชกฤษฎีกา โดยกำหนดให้นักแปลที่ขึ้นทะเบียน รวมถึงผู้รับรองการแปลจากสมาคมวิชาชีพหรือสถาบันสอนภาษาที่มีการอบรมและขึ้นทะเบียน สามารถรับรองคำแปหฟลได้ (จดหมายถึงสมาคม SEAProTI ลงวันที่ 28 เม.ย. 2568)
สมาคมวิชาชีพนักแปลและล่ามแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ เป็นสมาคมวิชาชีพแห่งแรกในประเทศไทยและภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ที่มีระบบรับรองนักแปลรับรอง ผู้รับรองการแปล และล่ามรับรอง
