🏛️ Training Program: “Legal and Healthcare Interpreting for Beginners” – Batch 1
The Southeast Asian Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters (SEAProTI), in collaboration with the Professional Translators, Interpreters, and Certification Network (PTIS), is pleased to launch a special training program designed for individuals seeking to build foundational skills in two highly important fields: Legal Interpreting and Healthcare Interpreting. This course is ideal for beginners who wish to establish a strong, professional base toward becoming a competent interpreter.
⚖️ Course Content: Legal Interpreting
Participants will gain essential knowledge of the Thai justice system, court structure, and key terminology commonly used in legal proceedings, such as defendant, plaintiff, affidavit, cross-examination, and testimony.
The practical component of the course includes:
- Interpreting police statements
- Attorney–client consultation interpreting
- Interpreting in local courtroom settings and during judgment delivery
- Interpreting in healthcare–legal crossover scenarios
- Realistic role-play exercises designed to simulate real-world legal situations
🩺 Course Content: Healthcare Interpreting
This module covers the structure of the healthcare system, hospital workflow, and the role of medical interpreters in outpatient clinics, emergency rooms, and operating theatres. Participants will also learn essential medical vocabulary, including:
Human anatomy and common medical conditions
Vocabulary related to patient history, diagnosis, and treatment
Common medication terms and medical procedures
Practical interpreting exercises between healthcare providers and patients, including explaining test results

สมาคมวิชาชีพนักแปลและล่ามแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ (SEAProTI) ร่วมกับ ชมรมนักแปลเครือข่าย ผู้รับรองการแปล และค่ามรับรอง (PTIS) ขอเชิญผู้สนใจเข้าร่วมหลักสูตรพิเศษที่ออกแบบมาเพื่อปูพื้นฐานทักษะการล่ามในสองสาขาที่มีความสำคัญอย่างยิ่ง ได้แก่ การล่ามด้านกฎหมาย และ การล่ามด้านสาธารณสุข เหมาะสำหรับผู้เริ่มต้นที่ต้องการพัฒนาความรู้และทักษะสู่การเป็นล่ามมืออาชีพ
⚖️ เนื้อหาหลักสูตร: การล่ามด้านกฎหมาย (Legal Interpreting)
ผู้เข้าอบรมจะได้เรียนรู้พื้นฐานของระบบยุติธรรมไทย โครงสร้างศาล และคำศัพท์สำคัญที่ใช้บ่อยในการพิจารณาคดี เช่น defendant, plaintiff, affidavit, cross-examination, และ testimony
ภาคปฏิบัติประกอบด้วย:
- การล่ามคำให้การต่อเจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจ
- การล่ามระหว่างทนายความและลูกความ
- การล่ามในศาลชั้นต้นและระหว่างการอ่านคำพิพากษา
- การล่ามในสถานการณ์กฎหมายที่เกี่ยวเนื่องกับบริการสาธารณสุข
- การฝึก Role Play จำลองสถานการณ์จริงในงานล่ามด้านกฎหมาย
🩺 เนื้อหาหลักสูตร: การล่ามด้านสาธารณสุข (Healthcare Interpreting)
เนื้อหาครอบคลุมความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับโครงสร้างระบบสาธารณสุข การทำงานของโรงพยาบาล และบทบาทของล่ามการแพทย์ในห้องตรวจ ห้องฉุกเฉิน และห้องผ่าตัด พร้อมเรียนรู้คำศัพท์สำคัญทางการแพทย์ เช่น
- โครงสร้างร่างกาย มนุษย์และโรคทั่วไป
- ศัพท์เกี่ยวกับการซักประวัติ การวินิจฉัย และการรักษา
- ศัพท์ยาที่ใช้บ่อย และขั้นตอนทางการแพทย์
- การฝึกแปล-ล่ามระหว่างแพทย์และผู้ป่วย รวมถึงการอธิบายผลตรวจทางการแพทย์
