The Southeast Asian Association of Translators and Interpreters provided internship students majoring in English with the opportunity to observe professional conference interpreting assignments to enhance their practical experience and broaden their learning beyond the classroom.
On 21 May 2026, the Southeast Asian Association of Translators and Interpreters arranged for Mr. Kraiฤกษ์ Kruaythong, a third-year English major internship student from Ubon Ratchathani University, and Ms. Pakaporn Tanjararak, an English major internship student from Kasetsart University, to observe conference interpreting operations during the EU–Thai FTA consultation meeting held at the Renaissance Bangkok Ratchaprasong Hotel.
In addition, on 23 May 2026, both students also participated in observing and interpreting work at a pharmaceutical product launch event held at the Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok on the Chao Phraya River. The experience allowed them to learn about real-world interpreting practices, including preparation techniques, the use of specialized terminology, and communication skills in international business and medical contexts.
This initiative aimed to provide students with direct professional exposure, strengthen their practical skills, and inspire continuous learning and professional development in preparation for future careers in translation and interpreting.

SEAProTI is the first professional association in Thailand and Southeast Asia to implement a comprehensive certification system for translators, certifiers, and interpreters.

สมาคมวิชาชีพนักแปลและล่ามแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ เปิดโอกาสให้นักศึกษาฝึกงานด้านภาษาอังกฤษเข้าร่วมสังเกตการณ์การปฏิบัติงานล่ามประชุมระดับนานาชาติ เพื่อเสริมสร้างประสบการณ์วิชาชีพและเปิดโลกการเรียนรู้นอกห้องเรียน
เมื่อวันที่ 21 พฤษภาคม 2569 สมาคมวิชาชีพนักแปลและล่ามแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ ได้ให้โอกาสแก่ นายไกรฤกษ์ กรวยทอง นักศึกษาฝึกงานสาขาวิชาภาษาอังกฤษ ชั้นปีที่ 3 จากมหาวิทยาลัยอุบลราชธานี และนางสาวภคพร ตันจรารักษ์ นักศึกษาฝึกงานสาขาวิชาภาษาอังกฤษ จากมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ เข้าร่วมสังเกตการณ์การปฏิบัติงานล่ามประชุม ในงานปรึกษาหารือความร่วมมือ EU-Thai FTA ณ โรงแรม Renaissance Bangkok Ratchaprasong
นอกจากนี้ เมื่อวันที่ 23 พฤษภาคม 2569 นักศึกษาทั้งสองยังได้เข้าร่วมสังเกตการณ์การทำงานล่ามในงานเปิดตัวผลิตภัณฑ์ยา ณ โรงแรม Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River เพื่อเรียนรู้กระบวนการทำงานจริงของล่ามมืออาชีพ ทั้งในด้านการเตรียมความพร้อม การใช้ทักษะภาษาเฉพาะทาง และการสื่อสารในบริบททางธุรกิจและการแพทย์ระดับสากล
การเปิดโอกาสให้นักศึกษาได้เข้าร่วมสังเกตการณ์ในงานประชุมและกิจกรรมระดับนานาชาติครั้งนี้ มีเป้าหมายเพื่อเสริมสร้างประสบการณ์ตรง พัฒนาทักษะวิชาชีพ และสร้างแรงบันดาลใจในการเรียนรู้สิ่งใหม่ ๆ อันจะเป็นประโยชน์ต่อการเตรียมความพร้อมสู่สายอาชีพนักแปลและล่ามในอนาคตต่อไป
สมาคมวิชาชีพนักแปลและล่ามแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ (SEAProTI) ได้ประกาศหลักเกณฑ์และคุณสมบัติของผู้ที่ขึ้นทะเบียนเป็น “นักแปลรับรอง (Certified Translators) และผู้รับรองการแปล (Translation Certification Providers) และล่ามรับรอง (Certified Interpreters)” ของสมาคม หมวดที่ 9 และหมวดที่ 10 ในราชกิจจานุเบกษา ของสำนักเลขาธิการคณะรัฐมนตรี ในสำนักนายกรัฐมนตรี แห่งราชอาณาจักรไทย ลงวันที่ 25 ก.ค. 2567 เล่มที่ 141 ตอนที่ 66 ง หน้า 100 อ่านฉบับเต็มได้ที่: นักแปลรับรอง ผู้รับรองการแปล และล่ามรับรอง
สำนักคณะกรรมการกฤษฎีกาเสนอให้ตราเป็นพระราชกฤษฎีกา โดยกำหนดให้นักแปลที่ขึ้นทะเบียน รวมถึงผู้รับรองการแปลจากสมาคมวิชาชีพหรือสถาบันสอนภาษาที่มีการอบรมและขึ้นทะเบียน สามารถรับรองคำแปลได้ (จดหมายถึงสมาคม SEAProTI ลงวันที่ 28 เม.ย. 2568)
