SEAProTI President Serves as Official Interpreter at International Arts Forum in Singapore
12–15 June 2025 – Khun Wanitcha Sumanat, President of the Southeast Asian Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters (SEAProTI), was invited to serve as an official interpreter at the program held as part of the 2025 International Community Arts Festival (ICAF) Hub Singapore, with over 100 participants from ASEAN countries such as Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore, as well as from the Asia-Pacific region including China, South Korea, and Japan.
Throughout the four-day program, Khun Wanitcha Sumanat interpreted at a variety of cultural exchange sessions, site visits, and creative dialogues, with themes centering on the power of the arts in community engagement, social healing, and human rights advocacy. These discussions featured contributions from artists, organizations, and social change-makers from around the globe.
Key highlights of the program included:
- Site visits to inclusive arts organizations such as ART: DIS and ArtsWok Collaborative
- The session “From Prison Theatre, Theater and War to the Art of Care?” was led by Professor James Thompson
- A Special Interest Circle on “Disruption and Imagination: Engaging Youth through Transformative Arts”
- Performances by Youth Advocates Through Theater Arts (YATTA) and DIK Danstheater
- Workshops on community-based arts production with Asha Bee Abraham & Jo Lim
Khun Wanitcha Sumanat’s active participation as a professional interpreter at such a high-level international event reflects not only the crucial role of interpreters in cross-cultural communication but also highlights how language professionals contribute to global collaboration and social transformation.

The Southeast Asian Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters (SEAProTI) has officially announced the criteria and qualifications for individuals to register as “Certified Translators,” “Translation Certification Providers,” and “Certified Interpreters” under the association’s regulations. These guidelines are detailed in Sections 9 and 10 of the Royal Thai Government Gazette, issued by the Secretariat of the Cabinet under the Office of the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, dated July 25, 2024, Volume 141, Part 66 Ng, Page 100.

นายก SEAProTI ร่วมปฏิบัติหน้าที่ล่ามในเวทีศิลปะระดับนานาชาติ ณ ประเทศสิงคโปร์
วันที่ 16 มิถุนายน 2568 – คุณวณิชชา สุมานัส นายกสมาคมวิชาชีพนักแปลและล่ามแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ (SEAProTI) ได้รับเกียรติให้เข้าร่วมและปฏิบัติหน้าที่ล่ามอย่างเป็นทางการในกิจกรรมภายใต้งานประชุมเชิงปฏิบัติการศิลปะเพื่อชุมชน (International Community Arts Festival: ICAF Hub Singapore) ซึ่งจัดขึ้น ณ ประเทศสิงคโปร์ ระหว่างวันที่ 12-15 มิถุนายน 2568 โดยมีตัวแทนจากกลุ่มประเทศอาเซียน เช่น ไทย เวียดนาม ฟิลิปินส์ มาเลเซีย อินโดนีเซีย สิงคโปร์ ฯลฯ และเอเชียแปซิฟิก เช่น จีน เกาหลีใต้ และญี่ปุ่นเข้าร่วมกว่า 100 คน
ตลอดระยะเวลา 4 วันของการประชุม คุณวณิชชาได้ทำหน้าที่ล่ามในกิจกรรมแลกเปลี่ยนทางวัฒนธรรม การเยี่ยมชมหน่วยงานด้านศิลปะ และวงเสวนาเชิงสร้างสรรค์ โดยเนื้อหาสะท้อนถึงบทบาทของศิลปะในการส่งเสริมการมีส่วนร่วมของชุมชน เยียวยาสังคม และขับเคลื่อนประเด็นสิทธิมนุษยชน ผ่านมุมมองจากศิลปิน องค์กร และนักเคลื่อนไหวจากทั่วโลก
กิจกรรมเด่นที่เข้าร่วม ได้แก่:
- การเยี่ยมชมองค์กรศิลปะเพื่อผู้พิการ ART:DIS และกลุ่ม ArtsWok Collaborative
