SEAProTI Launches CPD Program on “Interpreting in Courtrooms in the UK”
7 September 2025, Bangkok – The Southeast Asian Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters (SEAProTI) has launched a CPD Program, inviting members to collect points for professional license renewal. The session, titled Interpreting in Courtrooms in the UK, features Susan (Swann) Higgins, a court, conference, and business interpreter, as the keynote speaker, with Khun Wanitcha Sumanas, President of SEAProTI, serving as moderator.
The program is divided into two parts: a 30-minute lecture and a 15–30-minute live Q&A session. Topics include the legal framework and court interpreting system in the United Kingdom, the roles, ethics, and challenges of court interpreters, interpreting modes and the courtroom environment, as well as best practices and career development pathways.
The event will be held on Sunday, 7 September 2025, from 17:00 to 18:00 (Bangkok time) | 11:00 to 12:00 (London time), via Zoom. Registered members will receive the link and access code by email.
SEAProTI, a CPD provider registered with The CPD Register, London, stated that this program is ideal for translators and interpreters working in the fields of law, courts, and interpretation, including certified translators, certified interpreters, and translation certifiers seeking to collect CPD points for professional license renewal.

SEAProTI is the first professional association in Thailand and Southeast Asia to establish a comprehensive certification system for translators, translation certification providers, and interpreters.

กำหนดการแบ่งออกเป็นสองช่วง ได้แก่ การบรรยาย 30 นาที และการถาม–ตอบสด (Q&A) 15–30 นาที โดยเนื้อหาครอบคลุมกรอบกฎหมายและระบบล่ามศาลในสหราชอาณาจักร บทบาท จริยธรรม ความท้าทายของล่ามศาล ตลอดจนรูปแบบการล่ามและบรรยากาศในห้องพิจารณา พร้อมแนวปฏิบัติที่ดีที่สุดและเส้นทางพัฒนาวิชาชีพ
กิจกรรมจัดขึ้นในวันอาทิตย์ที่ 7 กันยายน 2568 เวลา 17.00–18.00 น. ตามเวลาในประเทศไทย (11.00–12.00 น. ตามเวลาลอนดอน) ผ่านระบบ Zoom โดยลิงก์และรหัสเข้าร่วมจะส่งถึงสมาชิกที่ลงทะเบียนล่วงหน้าทางอีเมล
