SEAProTI Participates in THAC ADR Conference 2025
On 25–26 September 2025, the THAC ADR Conference 2025 was held at Novotel Sukhumvit 20, Bangkok, serving as a significant platform for exchanging knowledge on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). The event brought together representatives from both the public and private sectors.
Among the distinguished participants were Khun Wanitcha Sumanat, President of the Southeast Asian Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters (SEAProTI), mediator under the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Defence, and arbitrator under the Ministry of Justice; together with Mr. Preecha Wipawasuthi, Vice President of SEAProTI, mediator under the Ministry of Justice, lay judge, and arbitrator under the Ministry of Justice and the Thailand Arbitration Center (THAC).
The conference, organized by the Thailand Arbitration Center (THAC), aimed to enhance understanding of the roles of arbitrators and mediators at the international level, as well as to exchange insights and experiences in modern dispute resolution. The program sought to strengthen Thailand’s legal and economic systems in alignment with global standards.
SEAProTI’s participation reaffirmed the association’s role as a bridge between the profession of translators and interpreters and international justice processes, while also highlighting the importance of accurate legal communication and interpretation in ensuring fairness for all stakeholders.
About Certified Translators, Translation Certification Providers, and Certified Interpreters of SEAProTI
The Southeast Asian Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters (SEAProTI) has officially announced the qualifications and criteria for registration of Certified Translators, Translation Certification Providers, and Certified Interpreters under Sections 9 and 10 of its Charter, published in the Royal Gazette of the Secretariat of the Cabinet, Office of the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, on July 25, 2024, Vol. 141, Part 66 Ng, p. 100. * The Office of the Council of State has proposed that a Royal Decree be enacted to authorize registered translators—including those certified by professional associations or accredited language institutes—to legally certify translations (Letter to SEAProTI dated April 28, 2025)
* SEAProTI is the first professional association in Thailand and Southeast Asia to establish a system for certifying Certified Translators, Translation Certification Providers, and Certified Interpreters.

เมื่อวันที่ 25–26 กันยายน 2568 ที่ผ่านมา ณ โรงแรม Novotel Sukhumvit 20 กรุงเทพฯ ได้มีการจัดงาน THAC ADR Conference 2025 ซึ่งเป็นเวทีสำคัญในการแลกเปลี่ยนความรู้ด้านการระงับข้อพิพาททางเลือก (Alternative Dispute Resolution: ADR) โดยมีผู้แทนจากหลากหลายหน่วยงานทั้งภาครัฐและเอกชนเข้าร่วมอย่างคับคั่ง
ในการนี้ คุณวณิชชา สุมานัส นายกสมาคมวิชาชีพนักแปลและล่ามแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ (SEAProTI) ผู้ไกล่เกลี่ยสังกัดกระทรวงยุติธรรมและกระทรวงกลาโหม และอนุญาโตตุลาการสังกัดกระทรวงยุติธรรม พร้อมด้วย ท่านปรีชา วิภวศูทธิ อุปนายกสมาคมฯ ผู้ไกล่เกลี่ยสังกัดกระทรวงยุติธรรม ผู้พิพากษาสมทบ และอนุญาโตตุลาการสังกัดกระทรวงยุติธรรมและสถาบันอนุญาโตตุลาการ ได้รับเกียรติร่วมเป็นผู้เข้าร่วมสัมมนาในครั้งนี้
การประชุม THAC ADR Conference 2025 จัดขึ้นโดยศูนย์อนุญาโตตุลาการประเทศไทย (THAC) มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสร้างความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับบทบาทของอนุญาโตตุลาการและผู้ไกล่เกลี่ยในระดับสากล ตลอดจนแลกเปลี่ยนแนวคิดและประสบการณ์ด้านการระงับข้อพิพาทสมัยใหม่ เพื่อสนับสนุนระบบกฎหมายและเศรษฐกิจไทยให้เติบโตอย่างมั่นคง
การเข้าร่วมของ SEAProTI ในครั้งนี้นับเป็นการย้ำบทบาทของสมาคมฯ ในการเป็นสะพานเชื่อมโยงวิชาชีพนักแปลและล่ามกับกระบวนการยุติธรรมระหว่างประเทศ พร้อมทั้งสะท้อนถึงความสำคัญของทักษะการสื่อสารและการตีความทางกฎหมายที่ถูกต้องแม่นยำในการสร้างความเป็นธรรมแก่ทุกภาคส่วน

* สมาคมวิชาชีพนักแปลและล่ามแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ (SEAProTI) ได้ประกาศหลักเกณฑ์และคุณสมบัติผู้ที่ขึ้นทะเบียนเป็น “นักแปลรับรอง (Certified Translators) และผู้รับรองการแปล (Translation Certification Providers) และล่ามรับรอง (Certified Interpreters)” ของสมาคม หมวดที่ 9 และหมวดที่ 10 ในราชกิจจานุเบกษา ของสำนักเลขาธิการคณะรัฐมนตรี ในสำนักนายกรัฐมนตรี แห่งราชอาณาจักรไทย ลงวันที่ 25 ก.ค. 2567 เล่มที่ 141 ตอนที่ 66 ง หน้า 100 อ่านฉบับเต็มได้ที่: นักแปลรับรอง ผู้รับรองการแปล และล่ามรับรอง
** สำนักคณะกรรมการกฤษฎีกาเสนอให้ตราเป็นพระราชกฤษฎีกา โดยกำหนดให้นักแปลที่ขึ้นทะเบียน รวมถึงผู้รับรองการแปลจากสมาคมวิชาชีพหรือสถาบันสอนภาษาที่มีการอบรมและขึ้นทะเบียน สามารถรับรองคำแปลได้ (จดหมายถึงสมาคม SEAProTI ลงวันที่ 28 เม.ย. 2568)
