Preecha Wipavasut: A Volunteer Insurance Dispute Mediator and Advocate for Professional Translation and Interpreting Standards in Southeast Asia
12 May 2025, Bangkok – Mr. Preecha Wipavasut, Vice President of the Southeast Asian Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters (SEAProTI) and volunteer insurance dispute mediator at the Office of Insurance Commission (OIC) of Thailand, has dedicated himself to this important work without receiving a regular salary. His role plays a vital part in resolving insurance disputes for the public, promoting stability and confidence in the insurance system, which is essential for the overall stability of the national economy.
As Vice President of SEAProTI, Mr. Preecha has actively contributed to raising the standards of the translation and interpreting profession in the Southeast Asian region. The Southeast Asian Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters (SEAProTI) has officially announced the criteria and qualifications for individuals to register as “Certified Translators,” “Translation Certification Providers,” and “Certified Interpreters” under the association’s regulations. These guidelines are detailed in Sections 9 and 10 of the Royal Thai Government Gazette, issued by the Secretariat of the Cabinet under the Office of the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, dated July 25, 2024, Volume 141, Part 66 Ng, Page 100.

ท่านปรีชา วิภวสูทธ์ ทำหน้าที่อาสาสมัครไกล่เกลี่ยข้อพิพาทประกันภัย
พร้อมยกระดับวิชาชีพนักแปลและล่ามในเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้
12 พฤษภาคม 2568, กรุงเทพมหานคร – ท่านปรีชา วิภวสูทธ์ อุปนายกสมาคมวิชาชีพนักแปลและล่ามแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ (SEAProTI) และผู้ไกล่เกลี่ยข้อพิพาทด้านประกันภัยของสำนักงานคณะกรรมการกำกับและส่งเสริมการประกอบธุรกิจประกันภัย (คปภ.) ได้อุทิศตนทำงานเป็นอาสาสมัครโดยไม่ได้รับเงินเดือนประจำ แต่มีบทบาทสำคัญในการระงับข้อพิพาทด้านประกันภัยให้แก่ประชาชน ส่งเสริมความสงบสุขและความเชื่อมั่นในระบบประกันภัย ซึ่งเป็นส่วนสำคัญในการเสริมสร้างความมั่นคงของระบบเศรษฐกิจของประเทศ
ในฐานะอุปนายกสมาคม SEAProTI ท่านปรีชาได้มีบทบาทในการยกระดับมาตรฐานวิชาชีพนักแปลและล่ามในภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ โดยสมาคมฯ มุ่งมั่นผลิตนักวิชาชีพด้านการแปลและล่ามที่มีคุณภาพ เพื่อรองรับความต้องการของผู้ใช้จากทุกอุตสาหกรรม
บทบาทของท่านปรีชาในฐานะผู้ไกล่เกลี่ยข้อพิพาทด้านประกันภัยของ คปภ. มีความสำคัญในการช่วยเหลือประชาชนที่ประสบปัญหาด้านประกันภัย โดยการไกล่เกลี่ยข้อพิพาทอย่างเป็นธรรมและโปร่งใส ส่งผลให้ประชาชนได้รับความเป็นธรรมและลดภาระในการดำเนินคดี ซึ่งเป็นการส่งเสริมความเชื่อมั่นในระบบประกันภัยของประเทศ
การอุทิศตนของท่านปรีชา วิภวสูทธ์ ในบทบาททั้งสองนี้ เป็นตัวอย่างของการทำงานเพื่อประโยชน์ส่วนรวม และเป็นแรงบันดาลใจให้กับผู้ที่ทำงานด้านวิชาชีพและการบริการสังคม
