Job Announcement: Foreign Language Document Translation Reviewer (English)
13 October 2025, Bangkok – The Department of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is now accepting applications for three (3) contract-based positions as Foreign Language Document Translation Reviewers (English). Successful candidates will work full-time during official government hours at the Division of Nationality and Legalization or other assigned offices under the same division.
Salary: 17,000 THB per month

Job Responsibilities

Review and verify the accuracy of translated foreign-language documents (English) in accordance with the department’s standards.

Coordinate with relevant parties as assigned.
Note: Job duties may be adjusted according to the needs and functions of the department.
General Qualifications
-
Thai nationality, aged 20–40 years.

Bachelor’s degree in any field (must have completed and been officially approved by 14 November 2025).

Able to work full-time during official government hours at designated locations.

Must not have been convicted of a criminal offense (except for minor or unintentional offenses).

Must not have been dismissed or discharged from government service, state enterprises, or other organizations.

Must not have engaged in fraud during any government recruitment examination or employment process.

Must not be legally incapacitated, mentally ill, or suffering from disqualifying medical conditions as specified by law.
Specific Qualifications

Strong command of English communication and comprehension.

Additional knowledge of other foreign languages will be considered an advantage.

About Certified Translators, Translation Certifiers, and Certified Interpreters of SEAProTI
The Southeast Asian Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters (SEAProTI) has formally announced the qualifications and requirements for registration of Certified Translators, Translation Certification Providers, and Certified Interpreters in Sections 9 and 10 of the Royal Gazette, published by the Secretariat of the Cabinet, Office of the Prime Minister of Thailand, on 25 July 2024 (Vol. 141, Part 66 Ng, p. 100). สมาคมวิชาชีพนักแปลและล่ามแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ (SEAProTI) ได้ประกาศหลักเกณฑ์และคุณสมบัติผู้ที่ขึ้นทะเบียนเป็น “นักแปลรับรอง (Certified Translators) และผู้รับรองการแปล (Translation Certification Providers) และล่ามรับรอง (Certified Interpreters)” ของสมาคม หมวดที่ 9 และหมวดที่ 10 ในราชกิจจานุเบกษา ของสำนักเลขาธิการคณะรัฐมนตรี ในสำนักนายกรัฐมนตรี แห่งราชอาณาจักรไทย ลงวันที่ 25 ก.ค. 2567 เล่มที่ 141 ตอนที่ 66 ง หน้า 100 อ่านฉบับเต็มได้ที่: นักแปลรับรอง ผู้รับรองการแปล และล่ามรับรอง
สำนักคณะกรรมการกฤษฎีกาเสนอให้ตราเป็นพระราชกฤษฎีกา โดยกำหนดให้นักแปลที่ขึ้นทะเบียน รวมถึงผู้รับรองการแปลจากสมาคมวิชาชีพหรือสถาบันสอนภาษาที่มีการอบรมและขึ้นทะเบียน สามารถรับรองคำแปลได้ (จดหมายถึงสมาคม SEAProTI ลงวันที่ 28 เม.ย. 2568)
