13 August 2025, Bangkok – In an era where AI is playing an increasingly significant role in the labor market, knowledge work occupations are facing heightened risks of technological displacement. According to a recent Microsoft report, as many as 40 occupations are at high risk of being replaced by AI, while 10 occupations are almost entirely unaffected. Interpreters, in particular, should aim to become AI-augmented interpreters by using AI as a supporting tool while strengthening their unique expertise.
